Nonprofit Impact, Recovery, & Sustainability in Northern Illinois

Updated: Nov 16, 2020

In late April of 2020, NICNE (Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence) administered a survey to nonprofit leaders to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the nonprofit community in the Northern Illinois region. The survey closed May 1. Survey results were shared with elected officials and members of the 815 CRT (815 Community Response Team) to address basic needs of the sector and move towards crisis recovery. The survey was delivered to 352 representatives from area nonprofits, and shared with a broader audience by the

Community Foundation of Northern Illinois and the United Way of Rock River Valley. 100 full and partial responses were received. All questions were optional and all responses were anonymous. A summary of survey findings may be viewed below, or download a PDF version.
