Nonprofit Coffee Hour - Webinar Recording

This is the video recording of the Nonprofit Coffee Hour webinar hosted by partners of the 815 Community Response Team (815CRT). The webinar was originally held on Friday, April 17, 2020. 815CRT Partners include: Community Foundation of Northern Illinois, Northern Illinois Center for Nonprofit Excellence, United Way of Rock River Valley, Kjellstrom Family Foundation, Transform Rockford, Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, and The Workforce Connection.

Here are a few of the resources that were mentioned during the course of the webinar:

  • One Body Collaboratives mobilizes, coordinates, and develops church resources to serve the community. Visit their website to learn more about the how the faith community is responding to the COVID-19 crisis.

  • Pam Clark Reidenbach mentioned a webinar about scenario planning. The webinar has two parts. View Part 1. View Part 2.

  • Resources to support staff and clients with coping and mental health: "Call for Calm", a new statewide emotional support text line -- Text “TALK” to 552020 or “HABLAR” for service in Spanish to the same number 552020. Also, NAMI Northern Illinois is holding virtual support groups: https://naminorthernillinois.org/

  • Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting bi-weekly "Lunch Chat" virtual meetings on a variety of topics, many of which will be of interest to nonprofit organiztaions. Learn More.

  • The idea of job sharing came up as a way for nonprofits to increase staff capacity, even remotely. One organization offered to share some documents they use for their own shared job roles; we will post those resources here ASAP.
